La Vigie, is a rise stretching from Forest Side and Nouvelle France, where one gets a panoramic view of some parts in the island. A monument in the memory of Georges Antelme, Chairman of the Société des Chasseurs de l'île Maurice has been unveiled there on 29th November 1939.

La Vigie Hotel is situated at about one kilometre from the town of Curepipe and eighteen kilometres from the airport.
A casino, supermarkets, restaurants, ice skaeting, and others commodities are available in Curepipe.
